Environment program in connection with the installation was held on 4th August at Carmel Diara, Kandand. Minister of Excise Sri K. Babu inaugurated the function. Ln. Dr T.A.Varkey gave the keynote address.1000 saplings of medicinal plants, 500 saplings of other varieties and 500 vegetable seed packets were distributed. Dr. Dilip aurvedic doctor gave class on medicinal plants. The medicinal plants distributed, were varieties which give yield from 6 months to 2 years and we have an arrangement with Aurveda college to collect the yield, which would fetch income for those who take care of the plants. His Grace Zackria Mar Anthonios Metropolitan -The Bishop of Quilon Diocese and President of the organization Servants of the Cross, inaugurated the service project -Donation of Two wheelchairs to Prasanthi Bhavan, Karyiruppu. Lns Shyla Sajiv, Lioness Board President, Ln Dr.Binoy Mathai MJF Multiple Council secretary, Ajitha Salim, President –Udayamperoor Grama Panchayat, Lns Susheela Varghese, Board Secretary spoke on the occasion.
