World Enviornment Day - June 5th

The first note of the 'Symphony of Service'is the focus on the of future of Environment- On World Environment Day, the Lioness Board organized a memorable tree plantation Initiative at Manjumel, a highly polluted Industrial area. The function was inaugurated by Prof. K.V Thomas, Honorable Union Minister for Consumer affairs Food and Public Distribution, at Carmel Hall, where we distributed 500 saplings of fruit bearing trees to members self help groups and children of nature clubs.
    Ln Roy Varghese Multiple Council Chairperson delivered the key note address
    Smt Lissy George (Municipal Chairperson) inaugurated the service project donation of 2 wheel chairs to St Josephs Hospital Manjumel. Associate Director of the hospital, Rev Fr Jacob Edwin received the wheel chairs on behalf of the Hospital, in the presence of Rev. Fr Paul Kattiparambil, (Parish Priest, Our Lady of Immaculate Church, Manjumel ) , Rev. Fr. Jaison Vadassery Associate Director ESSS, Joseph Antony and Jetrude teacher (Municipal Councilors). The program was well attended by dignitaries of Lions and Lioness District 324 E4.
