Lioness Board Installation The Lioness Board for the year 2011-2012 was installed on 30th July, by District Governor Ln Dr .T.A Varkey at Gokulam Convention Centre, Kaloor at an eloquently golden evening – the Installation ceremony; the ceremony seemed to be a godsend for Lions and lionesses of the district, with 1200 members of the Lions fraternity attending it. The Lioness Board arranged a stunning reception for the District Cabinet Installation and the Board Installation. The Leos made it colourful with thalapoli. Floral petals were showered on the chief guest from both side of the passage. With buds and gorgeous bouquets, the dignitaries were seated on the honored seats. The Lioness Board Installation Project was –the donation of one lakh rupees towards the construction of a dormitory of a destitute home St. Antony’s Sadan at Varpuzha, The project was inaugurated by the Ln V.V.Krishna Reddy, International Director.
The Board Installation Project- Donation of a ‘lot of 25 wheel chairs’ to the Government Hospitals and old age homes was inaugurated by the chief guest. The beneficiaries are the government hospitals of Ernakulam, Fort Cochin, Mattancherry, Shertallai, Angamaly, Kothmangalam, Perumbavoor, Koonamavu, Karuvelipadi, Thripunithura, Adimali and various old age homes in and around Cochin. A million thanks to all the Lions, Lionesses, board members and clubs who supported the service projects.
